On Fridays, we have Brick Club in Taonga Class! Brick Club is designed to build children's social, communication, and emotional skills through collaborative building.

This term, we have been learning about the different roles and responsibilities involved in constructing a LEGO creation as a team. It has been wonderful to see the tamariki develop their ability to take turns, problem-solve, share, maintain joint attention, and communicate verbally.

What a week in Tuatara Class!
We have been busy with fractions, creating a special welcome booklet for new tamariki, sharing our mahi, and making the most of some fun together in the playground.
A highlight was having the Project Island Song crew visit us - a huge thank you to Whaea Jo for giving our tamariki this awesome opportunity!
And of course, we couldn’t finish the week without getting behind Daffodil Day and filling our classroom and kura with yellow.

Have a well-earned, safe and happy weekend, whānau!

What a week it’s been at Mangōnui School!

From Book Week, to Far North Cross Country, our Book Character Parade, and today’s Football Festival at Taipa. It has certainly been a busy week for our tamariki! So many great opportunities to get involved, have fun, challenge themselves and represent our kura with pride.

A huge thank you to all our parents and whānau who came along to support our tamariki throughout the week. We really appreciate you being there and cheering them on!
