Our “Minis” celebrating Sea Week by exploring all the different textures (bicarbonate of soda) and smells (vinegar). As they dropped the vinegar on the bicarb it foamed up and made a sizzling sound, they enjoyed the reaction and noted the bubbles. Children are programmed to explore and experiment right from the start, even as babies. So by tapping into their natural predispositions early on, during this key developmental phase, we can nurture and establish a positive approach to science education that will stay with them into the future.
