The next Parent & Whānau workshop will be held on Thursday 19th September at the Bilderbeck Hall in Wainuiomata, 9.30am to 11.00am.

The topic is Healthy Lunchboxes. Our facilitators will be Heart Foundation Nutrition Advisors, Megan and Tahuwhenua. This workshop will cover different ways to build a quick, easy and cost-effective lunchbox for tamariki. We will identify lunchbox friendly foods and provide some options to try out with tamariki. Attendees will have a go at preparing some lunchbox staples after the presentation. There will be a Q&A session and a quiz at the end with a hamper to be won.

The next Parent & Whānau workshop will be held on Tuesday 25th June at the Walter Nash Centre, 9.30am to 11.00am.

The topic is Transitioning from kindergarten to school. Our facilitators will be Malama Slade (Taita Kindergarten teacher), Tanya Powell (New Entrant Teacher) and Emma Saul (Learning Support Coordinator). Each person will talk about how they can help to make the process go smoothly, what is involved on their side and give parent tips. They will also speak about how to help neurodiverse children transition and what the process involves. There will be a Q&A session and a quiz at the end where there is a gift hamper for the winner.

🚑Today tamariki and kaiako were dressed up in our pyjamas/ Onsie raising awareness and money for The Wellington free ambulance. Thank you to all those who donated. 🚑

Malo e lelei, ki he Uike Lea Faka-Tonga, we loved sharing Tongan culture, tasting Tongan food and enjoying Tongan dance from Jojo and Cesi from Naenae College.
Thank you to Etina and her daughters Jojo and Cesi for bringing in costumes, yummy food and showcasing your beautiful and graceful dance💃.
Tamariki had a lovely week experiencing the festivities of the Tongan 🇹🇴culture. Malo.
