NEW VIOLINS!!!
Thank you, Hutt Mana Charitable Trust, for your support. With the funding you provided Gallery Music Centre, we were able to buy 11 new violins for our students to use. They are really excited to be able to learn on violins that are the right size!!

Thank you also to Paul and Dwayne at Kingdom Music Hutt City for the amazing price on great learner violins! Such excellent service!

Avalon School Office - All Welcome!

We hope you have been enjoying the school holidays! Not long before we're back!

Our teachers are looking forward to seeing their students in class, including our wonderful guitar teacher, Amber Madriaga! Did you know she used to be a Gallery Music student way back when she was a child? We are very proud of how far she has come and how is now sharing her love of music with the next generation of musicians. Thank you, Amber!

Have you thought about joining the Gallery Music Committee? We'd love to have you - parents like Nicky Sievert who put her hand up when we put the call out for parents to join our committee. She has been a wonderful addition!

If you are interested in supporting Gallery Music as a casual volunteer or as a Committee member, please let us know!

Behind the scenes, the Gallery Music Centre Committee work hard to ensure we offer high quality, affordable and accessible group music lessons. We warmly welcome our new Chair, Shannon Ward, who has a life-long involvement with community music centres and is passionate about the important role music centres such as Gallery Music play in the community.

We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank our outgoing Chair, Mark Maxwell Kerr. He did an amazing job, leading the centre, especially during COVID-19. We really appreciate how he was able to navigate us through such unpredictable times, in a calm, and reassuring manner. Thank you!

We're looking for enthusiastic musicians to join our fun orchestra! Could this be you?

Gallery Music Orchestra welcomes musicians of all ages who have been playing an instrument for at least a couple of years (i.e., not beginners). Contact us if you have a love of music and would like to gain skills playing in a fun orchestra!

Practices are Saturday mornings, 9:30am to 11:30am, in the Avalon Primary School Hall.
