We warmly invite our school community to the HVHS Market Evening this Thursday (25 June) from 4:00pm - 6:00pm in the school hall. Come along and support our Year 11 Business Studies students as they showcase and sell their products.
At the market we'll have 28 student businesses selling a variety of products. We've got something for everyone! Options include:
▪️Tempt your tastebuds with delicious savoury and sweet treats like tacos, loaded fries, deep fried cheese, sweet crepes, and cookies, then wash it all down with a refreshing lemonade, bubble tea, or smoothie.

TONIGHT | The Learning Community Hub event for migrant parents runs from 6:30pm-7:45pm upstairs in the Staffroom in the Admin Building. Tonight's event is focused on subject selection. There will be language support available for Chinese and Vietnamese speaking parents.
There will be light refreshments served at the end of the presentation. All migrant parents and students are welcome to attend, and we look forward to seeing you there!

🌈✨ Schools’ Pride Week Aotearoa (15-19 June) celebrates rainbow students, staff and whānau in school communities across the country. Pride Week at HVHS is organised by our school’s Q***r Straight Alliance (QSA), with optional free activities open to all students every lunchtime in C Block (mainly C14 and C11).
Pride Week Activities:
▪️Monday 8:45am: Raising the Progress Pride Flag on the school flagpole
▪️Monday Lunch: Chalk pride messages around the school and pride-themed nail polish
▪️Tuesday Lunch: Pride concert featuring drag performers in C11
▪️Wednesday: No activities scheduled as students are learning from home due to scheduled parent/teacher interviews
▪️Thursday Lunch: Pride flag face painting, a scavenger hunt & a rainbow bake sale (at interval & lunchtime)
▪️Friday Lunch: Non-uniform day (students are encouraged to wear their pride colours) & Kahoots quizzes.
