Last Friday we held our Termly Whakamihi Ceremony. This is a special time for us to welcome our new students and their whānau into our Te Puni whānau. Our tamariki sang strongly and proudly, to welcome our new students.

PIES! Our Pie fundraiser is live from today. Pies are baked to order for us by Centa bakery just down the road off Oxford street. Pies are high quality and delicious, and a great way to warm up in this wintery weather.
Every order helps us fundraise for Kapa Haka uniforms so our performers feel proud and connected! Or, if you prefer not to order pies but want to support us, there is a donation option available on the orders page.
Orders close 6th August, and pick up is 20th August. To order you can either:

All Tamariki are safe, warm and dry inside their classrooms. Te Puni School will remain open for instruction, and finish at 3pm as usual. We do have some surface flooding on the grounds so please take care if you are walking through.
For those who were wanting to purchase chocolates today, unfortunately this has been postponed until next Friday 3rd July.

Tawhai presented an amazing Celebration of Learning this morning. They showcased what they have learned about the history of schools during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s eras. We were treated to a play about a game called marbles that was widely popular during the 70s. Tawhai also did a brilliant reenactment of the classic duck song, and performed the Samoan Sasa. Mahi pai Tawhai, you should all be very proud!
