We have made the finalists for the Queensgate $10,000 School Community Grant!

Receiving this generous grant would go towards helping us do up our library space. We aim to make this space a brighter, more welcoming space that sparks the love of reading for our ākonga.

To vote for our school, head into Queensgate and scan the QR code by the Lovisa store and cast your vote.

🥳HAPPY 100 DAYS TO US!🥳

Today our Junior Syndicate celebrated 100th day, an incredible 100 days of being at school this year!

We awarded a "100 Day King" 👑 too as there was ONE student who had been here for every 100 days this year - Lagi! Well done Lagi, it's so great to have our tamariki here every day.

We had a day filled with fun with a 100 scavenger hunt, 100 piece puzzles, 100 dot-to-dots, 100 item art work, and 100s and 1000s fairy bread making!

Then we shared some yummy treats together to finish our day.

Thank you to our amazing kaiako and kaiāwhina for organizing this fun day for everyone!

Junior Showcase is on this afternoon!

Come along to learn more about reading at home with your tamariki and how you can support their phonics learning.

Everyone will take home their new book bags with weekly books to read with your child.

Afternoon tea provided too ☺️

Room 4 whānau will be based in Room 1 for this, Room 8 and 9 will be together in their rooms.

We hope to see you there!

Junior whānau, we invite you to come and join us for our Showcase Afternoon TOMORROW!

Tomorrow, Wednesday 29th July from 2pm-2:30pm, our junior rooms will be sharing knowledge of how to help your child with their reading at home.

This will be a relaxed way to learn some tips and tricks from our kaiako that will support your tamariki with reading outside of school.

All junior students will also be starting to take home book bags, which will be first given out at this Showcase Afternoon. Each week your child will have a new book to practice reading at home and a phonics card to practice.

We will provide some yummy afternoon tea too!

Room 8 & 9 will be together, with Room 4 whānau going into Room 1 for this learning. We hope to see you there!

We are so proud of our Year 7/8 netball team today! Having their first game in the second grade, in the cold and rain, and they took the win!

They all played their hearts out and showed that Tui Glen deserves to be in this grade. Well done netballers! 👏🏻

Thank you to our whānau who braved the cold to cheer us on, and to Miss Foster for umpiring us!
