Last week the tamariki in the Kererū room celebrated Cultural Diversity Day by dressing in traditional cultural clothing and sharing beautiful kai from their different cultures! 🌏💛
It was such a special day of learning, connection, and celebrating the diversity within our centre community.
A huge thank you to our wonderful whānau for contributing delicious shared kai, and to our amazing Kererū kaiako for organising such a special celebration! ✨

This week the Tui & Pūkeko rooms had a special visit from St John! 🚑💛
The tamariki loved learning all about ambulances, how paramedics help people, and what to do if someone is hurt- “Dial 111 and help will come!”
It was such a fun and exciting hands-on learning experience for everyone!

Introducing Team Kererū! 💛
Our amazing Kererū room teachers support and nurture our tamariki aged 15 months to 2 years.
From cuddles and play, to discovery and big milestones, they create a fun and loving environment where our tamariki can learn, grow, and thrive at their own pace - and just look how cute they were! 🥹

Kia ora Whānau,
We hope you are all safe and well.
Due to extreme weather conditions and the red weather warning resulting in bridge and road closures in our area, along with most local schools already being closed, we have made the decision to close the centre tomorrow (Tuesday 21st April). This decision has been made with the safety of our children, families, and staff as our top priority.
We understand this may cause inconvenience and appreciate your understanding during this time. Please take care when travelling and follow any guidance from local authorities.
We will keep you updated regarding reopening and any further changes.
If you have any urgent questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Ngā mihi

Weather update:
Kia ora Whānau,
At this stage, there is no flooding at or around the centre. However, we’re aware that other parts of the city are experiencing significant flooding, along with some road closures. We remain open for now, but please ensure that your travel routes are safe and accessible so you’re able to collect your children and return home safely.
We are planning to be open tomorrow and will keep you updated as soon as possible if anything changes. Please keep an eye on Educa for any updates. If you decide to keep your child at home tomorrow, please let us know so we can ensure we are meeting required ratios.
Stay warm & safe!
Ngā mihi
