Here at Normandale Playcentre we have a beautiful, well kept and well resourced centre and the ability to provide endless play opportunities to our tamariki, however this wouldn’t be possible without the ongoing support of our whanau and friends.

Donations and fundraising are heavily relied upon to keep our centre thriving.

After receiving a lot of good feedback following last winter’s pie fundraiser, we decided to give it another go - so we are selling Family Pies made by Centa Bakery in Waterloo.

A whole range of both savoury and dessert pies are available. All pies contain real meat & vegetable filling, and are a minimum of 600 grams in weight. They are freeze-thaw stable and can be frozen and reheated later without losing their quality.
**Please note: pies contain egg wash, are not gluten free and may contain traces of nuts and sesame seeds

All pies are $14 each. Orders can be placed a number of ways: by completing and returning the order form, through any of our current playcentre members, or by emailing us at [email protected].

Please note that orders must be placed and payment made (via online banking) prior to Friday 7th August. Delivery to Playcentre will be on Thursday 20th August.

We think this is a great way to have a few easy dinners sorted while supporting us at the same time. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. Thank you to our generous community! 💜💛

Mānawatia a Matariki from Normandale Playcentre ⭐️

In the lead up to this special occasion we have enjoyed many Matariki themed crafts, stories and waiata.

We also decorated for our recent Matariki themed whānau evening. Check out the stars that our tamariki decorated!

Have a relaxing long weekend with friends and whānau.

We are lucky to have a multicultural community at Normandale Playcentre, and today we enjoyed a Cultural Show and Tell! Tamariki brought some of their special items to playcentre and shared a bit about their culture. 🌏💜

Today marked the final day of Term 2. We are closed for the holidays, and open for play again on Monday 20th July. 😄

⭐️Centre Hire⭐️

Many of you would have attended a birthday party at Normandale Playcentre, or hired it for your own event. You will know what an awesome wee spot we have for birthday parties! 🧁🥳

Our centre can be hired out for a range of purposes, and easily booked here: https://www.playcentre.org.nz/hire/centre-hire-normandale/

We now have this fabulous poster to advertise our centre hires. Please feel free to share it with anybody who might want to know more - we also welcome those who would like to check the venue out, to pop in whenever we are on session.

A huge thanks to the clever Briar at Kerikeri Playcentre for creating this for us! 💜💛

⭐️ Can you help us? ⭐️

At Normandale Playcentre our tamariki love a puppet show, and we’ve been lucky enough to obtain this large wooden puppet theatre. However we need to make some modifications to it before it’s safe enough to have available for regular play.

We were hoping that a member of the community had some timber (measuring at least 65 x 18 mm 2.7 m) and/or four lockable caster wheels that they no longer need, that they would be kind enough to donate to us to make this happen! If so, please get in touch (you can send us a message on here, email [email protected] or pop in).

Thank you! 🤞 🎭 🫶

We always enjoy our visits from Normandale School, and this week they came to see us again. We checked out the leavers korowai, the school tamariki knew many of the names on the ribbons and one of them had attended Normandale Playcentre during her ECE years. In a lovely tuakana-teina moment the school children helped us to set up our morning tea tables and read us a story. He tino hoa koe Normandale School!
