At Burnham Street, we have been celebrating achieving our Rito Healthy Heart award this week. As part of our celebrations, we had a visit from Hearty the Healthy Heart Mascot when Tamsin arrived to present our award. We also incorporated "Big Heart Day" into the festivities. Kaiako and tamariki dressed in red and explored various red-themed activities. Additionally, tamariki brought bright and colourful kai in their lunch boxes. It was a very fun day for everyone involved!

Imagine Hutt Road are thrilled with the installation of a new AED machine right outside our gate. This is a lifesaving resource for our local community. Huge thanks to Rupert Kemeys and Scoota Roche for enabling this to happen with their generous sponsorship.

❤️Imagine Daycare in Petone recently received its 24/7 AED, thanks to our amazing supporters Exceed - we fix windows & doors who sponsored the AED, to Rupert Kemeys and Scoota Roche from Ray White who sponsored the community lockbox and to Rachel from who installed the AED at such a busy time of the year❤️

❤️Our last donation for 2025, we hope this AED will never need to be used, but being on a busy road near many homes and businesses, it is very well placed❤️

We had lots of fun getting dressed up as different characters at our recent Burnham St Dress Up Day! We got involved in our imaginative and pretend play throughout the day and had a few performances with tamariki making, selling and buying tickets before being able to sit down to watch each other singing and performing on stage.

Here's hoping that both of last week's graduates are enjoying a relaxing family time ahead of starting school in the New Year. They are not just going to the same school, but are going to be in the same class - exciting!

It's Throwback Wednesday (?!) as we share some backstage shots of the Preschool concert from a few weeks ago, "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree". The tamariki had a great time making their own costumes; tie-dying t-shirts, making poi and crafting reindeer antlers. While not everyone took the stage on show day, everyone was very involved in the creative process in the lead up. We think that they looked pretty fabulous!

A highlight of our festive season is our annual Lower Hutt Foodbank Appeal. We know that at the moment some families are struggling to put food on the table, let alone for Christmas. A huge thank you to our always generous Hutt Road whānau, we filled not one, but two trollies, with not just the basics but some delicious Christmas treats. Some of our families planned a reverse Advent calendar, so instead of getting treats themselves every day, the children got to choose something to donate for the Foodbank.
