We think our supporters are extraordinary, as they help us to pay for the ordinary things that ensure that our paramedics are ready to respond to any medical emergency.

🌟 We're Supporting Onesie Day 2026! 🌟

At Active Explorers Lower Hutt, we're proud to be supporting Onesie Day 2026 to help make a difference for children and families across Aotearoa.

Onesie Day is all about coming together, having a little fun, and raising funds for an incredibly important cause. Our tamariki and teachers will be encouraged to wear their favourite onesies as we help support the amazing work being done by Wellington Free Ambulance πŸš‘.

Every donation, big or small, can make a meaningful difference.

At Active Explorers Lower Hutt, painting is about so much more than creating artwork. For our Fantail infants and toddlers, painting provides opportunities to explore, discover, and learn through their senses.

As little hands squish, swipe, dab, and spread paint across the paper, tamariki are developing important fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and self-expression. Painting also encourages curiosity, supports brain development, and allows children to explore colours, textures, and cause-and-effect in a fun, meaningful way.

Most importantly, painting gives our youngest learners the freedom to express themselves and build confidence as they proudly create something that is uniquely their own. πŸ’›

We love seeing the joy, concentration, and sense of achievement on our tamariki's faces as they explore the world through art.

🌸 Nau mai te kōanga | Welcome Spring! 🌸

A new season is here, bringing longer days, blooming flowers, and plenty of opportunities for exploration and learning outdoors. 🌱🌷

Spring weather can be unpredictable, so we've put together a helpful reminder of what to pack in your child's bag each day to ensure they are comfortable, prepared, and ready for every adventure.

Thank you, whānau, for your ongoing support. We can't wait to create more wonderful spring memories with your tamariki. πŸ’™πŸš€

πŸ’Ž Creativity was shining brightly today as our preschoolers designed beautiful pictures using gem stickers! This fun activity supports the development of fine motor skills by encouraging children to use their pincer grasp, control hand movements, and build finger strength. Learning through play is always the best way! 🌟
