Kia Ora Wainuiomata community. We just wanted to give everyone a friendly reminder to please not put your old clothes outside the clothing bin at our kindergarten if it is full. Also please do not dump things that are not clothing. It would be a shame to have to remove this community service that we provide. Thanks for your support with this.

Teacher Support positions available in Wainuiomata

Hutt City Kindergartens has five kindergartens in Wainuiomata and we are looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to become Teacher Support casual employees.

This is casual, part-time work and will suit people wanting to work for a few hours, between 9.00am – 2.30pm, Monday - Friday. Days and hours of work vary, depending on the needs of the kindergarten.

Teacher Support workers don’t need to hold any formal qualification in childcare or education. They need to have energy, empathy and the desire to help tamariki to develop and grow.
In this role, you help the teaching team support diverse learners in the kindergarten. You also interact with all the tamariki, which allows the teachers time to work more closely with children who need extra support.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
• a natural ability and desire to work with children
• a passion for supporting our tamariki and the teaching team
• tolerance and patience and a sense of fun!
