One of the Te Kura o Wilford Board’s four goals that make up our Mahere Rautaki (Strategic Plan) 2024 - 2025 is to improve our physical environment so that learning and play are supported by quality facilities that reflect pride in our kura.
We are now seeking community and tamariki thoughts, ideas, and feedback on the sorts of things you would like to see in our outdoor playscapes. So many in our wider community use our outdoor spaces so we are keen to hear your thoughts.
We want your thoughts and ideas to help us develop a master plan which will show all of the elements that we need in our outdoor playspaces and allow us to break our vision for the future into achievable smaller steps. Our playscape development needs to be fit for purpose both for tamariki in our school now as well as those that will be here over the next 20 -30 years.
Ākonga will also get opportunities to contribute their thoughts and ideas about what they think makes a great playground.
Over the coming weeks in the school holidays, make sure you get out and about with your whānau and research what makes different playspaces so great. Then tell us what you think. Send your thoughts, ideas, and pictures through to [email protected].
