Our Student Council had the privilege of visiting Fauono Ken Laban Mayor of Lower Hutt and Deputy Mayor Keri Brown - Lower Hutt at the Hutt City Council. Our tamariki asked insightful questions about leadership, local government, and the future of Lower Hutt. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to learn how decisions are made and how leaders work together to support their community. We would like to thank Mayor Ken Laban and Deputy Mayor Keri Brown for warmly welcoming us and sharing their time and knowledge with our Student Council.

To celebrate our KCR reward, tamariki are invited to come to school in their pyjamas on Friday 19th June.
The tamariki will enjoy a cosy afternoon in their classrooms. Each class will choose an activity to enjoy together.
The afternoon is an opportunity for tamariki to celebrate the Kindness, Courage, and Respect they show every day.
We look forward to a fun and cosy afternoon together!

Office Manager: Whaea Toni
Whaea Toni has the final accolade this 2026 Support Staff Week. Whaea Toni is the heart of our school. The title ‘Office Manager’ is woefully inadequate in capturing the magic that is Whaea Toni’s mahi at school… perhaps “Wonder-Woman-Miracle-Maker-Compassionate- Healer-Fixer-Upper-Problem-Tackler-Admin-Queen” is a more accurate title. Whaea Toni is all things to all people that make up our beautiful community. It’s a miracle that she gets her own tasks done at all when she’s so busy helping everyone. Her ability to pivot each day responding to the unexpected things that always arise in a school day is astounding. She has a heart of pure gold with an abundance of care and aroha for the children and adults in our community. She embodies everything that is great about our school and you will experience it every time you come to the office.
Ngā mihi nui ki a koe Whaea Toni.
