Notice and invitation to the Eastbourne Toy Library AGM
Monday 29th June 2025
7.30pm
The AGM is 60 minutes approx and held on site at the library.
The library will be open for toys hire/returns after the AGM.
Come along and meet other member parents. We love to hear feedback from our families and are always open to ways to improve our service. This is your opportunity to share your ideas for improvements to the Toy Library and make any toy requests. We need a quorum which means that we need a few members as well as the committee at the AGM.
There are a few formalities to cover, including presentation of annual reports, choosing a 2026-2027 committee and key points of business including fundraisers. We'll kick off with a Winter Bake Sale in July. Please let us know if you can donate some baking.
We always welcome new volunteers, if you'd like to be involved in the committee in some way please get in touch with [email protected]
Agenda
• Minutes from previous AGM
• Annual Report and Financial Statements
• Chairperson Report
• Committee Volunteers for 2026-2027
• Any other business: 1. Fundraising, Bake Sale. 2. Request for all members to be involved in promoting the service to keep membership numbers at a strong level.
More info will follow by email and on Facebook posts closer to the time.

A Shout Out to say THANKS today to the NZ Lottery Grants Board.
Our National Toy Library Federation assisted Toy Libraries around NZ with securing essential funding. Our Eastbourne Toy Library has put our grant to use straight away! This grant helped us this year to pay towards our Librarian's wages, Rent and also we bought a few new toys. Thanks to Alex for the great picture of Mai making the most of this wonderful Spinning Sensory Toy.
Grants like this are of such importance to keep tiny charities like ours running 🙂 And the tamariki smiling!
We are very grateful! Thank you!

It’s Toy Library Awareness week and we are thrilled to be staying on in Eastbourne after our membership drive last year. Thank you to all of our families for your ongoing support.
Head on down to Toy Library soon and get your play on!!
We’ll also see you at the East Harbour Kindy wheelathon on Sunday 22nd March, 10am-12pm. Come say hi, play with some toys and see what we are all about.

We hope you all stayed safe and sound during the recent storm. It certainly left its mark!
We're trying to track down part of the above new big toy that has been very popular since purchased late last year. The trampoline part is now in the library, but the other parts are missing: -
- Big blue fabric bag
- Ball pit base (like a paddle pool)
- 100 ('prox) plastic coloured balls
- Instruction booklet
Please, please, if you can shed any light on where these may be, just get in touch. We'd be most grateful. They can't have gone walk-abouts.
Thank you!
Jane
