Enrolments for 2027 at Hutt Valley High School are open for in-zone applications in Years 9-13, and out-of-zone applications in Years 10-13. All enrolments are completed online.

We encourage Year 8 families to enrol early. This helps Hutt Valley High School to plan for your student’s learning needs and ensures they will be in the first group to receive the email for subject selections (many subjects have limited spaces).

NZ Book Week is on this year from Monday 17th to Friday 21st August.

To celebrate this we will be having a 'dress up as your favourite book character' day on Friday 21st August.

Students are encouraged to come to school dressed as their favourite character from a book. Please do not go and buy items for this, but encourage your children to get creative with items from home or by making something to wear.

Last night, I was treated to a display of He Waka Eke Noa. Our basketballers never gave up and worked well as a team. Even though we lost the games on points, I felt we won through our attitude of perseverance. Thanks, team. Ngā mihi, Mr Wu.

Reminder - HuttFest Dress Rehearsal

We will be doing a full dress rehearsal in the school hall tomorrow Friday 19th June at 12.15pm.

All whānau are welcome to come along and watch the dress rehearsal. Please note that the performance is only 7 mins long - we will run through the performance twice, so the dress rehearsal will only be about 15-20 minutes in total.

School will provide the uniforms for all students, however if girls wish to wear short black bike shorts under their dress that is fine. If your child needs to cover their legs/arms for cultural reasons, please make sure they are wear plain black clothing.

Also a reminder - If you haven't already done so, please give permission for your child to attend Huttfest under the events tab on Hero.

Just a reminder that school is closed for instruction tomorrow so our teachers can do some mahi on the new maths curriculum.
