We are grateful for the opportunity provided to some of our sporting kōtiro mā today with the visit from Nuku Ora - an active Wellington region and rising sporting stars & Tania Dalton Foundation scholars: Ayla (tennis), Hayley (triathlon), Vanessa (Cricket & football) & Farina (Football) & their scholarship manager, Georgie.

Our kōtiro had the chance to listen to what it takes to be a high performance athlete and were able to ask our manuhiri questions.

Fa’afetai tele lava to the Tania Dalton Foundation for the very generous donation of sporting goods for our tamaiti and for your time to visit us at WIS!

⏱ 1pm - 2.30pm per skills/development sessions *festival days are longer.

💬 If you are in year 9 or above and were under 14 as at 1 January 2026 then you are eligible to participate in the under 14 programme. *2012/2013 birth year.

Today some very privileged WIS students were given the chance to attend the Steven Adams Community Basketball Camp.🏀

What an experience being coached by some awesome young basketball talent, including our very own Yr8 Boys A coach and teacher aide, Jordan.

What an experience getting to meet the NBA star himself and to high five him! Apparently one of our students even shot one over him too!🙃

A massive thank you to Hutt Valley Basketball for this wonderful opportunity for our tamariki! 💚💛🏀
