Can't believe its a new year already. We just wanted to say that we hope that you all had a wonderful holiday break and we welcome you all back to kindy in this new year. We are excited to see what this year brings and wishing all things nice!

On Monday we had our visit from the Legends Unleashed Dinosaurs Aotearoa. The children and us were so excited and they did not disappoint. They came with a variety of dinosaur fossils, pictures and models. But what excited everyone the most was the little baby raptor who would make sounds and purr. The children all loved being able to go up and pat him. What a fun and educational time shared by all! Huge thanks to Dinosaur Darren and Rista the raptor trainer. 🦖🦕🐉

Here are a few snaps of our performance at HuttFest with Dyer Street School. Tamariki were all incredibly brave to stand up on the stage and perform in front of a crowd. Kia kaha koutou.

We will be selling glow sticks and tickets for our winter raffle on the night, so please bring along some cash. We thank everyone who has kindly given to our raffle!

🥧 Family Pie Fundraiser 🥧
With the winter weather kicking in, it is time for our annual pie fundraiser again and would love your support! The money we raise from this fundraiser will go towards ongoing improvements of our resources and equipment for our children.
We are selling both savoury and sweet family sized pies (20cm) made by Centa bakery in Lower Hutt. They are prebaked and can be frozen or reheated for a quick and easy dinner option. They come in a range of flavours including:
Country Chicken
Cracked Pepper Steak
Mediterranean Lamb
Mince
Mince and Cheese
Potato Top
Steak and Cheese
Steak and Kidney
Steak and Onion
Apple
Apricot
Caramel
Lemon Flan
All pies are $13 each and all orders need to be in by Wednesday 05th June. They will be ready to be picked up from kindy on Thursday 20th June.
We have spare order forms available at the kindergarten, thank you all for your ongoing support.

As part of our group planning on physical awareness we were able to go on a trip to Hutt Gymnastics. This was a really exciting time for our children who enjoyed trying all the many different activities and giving them a go. We had quite a few parent helpers and we thank them all very much for making this trip possible! 🙌🥰🤸

A huge thank you to all the whanau who were able to attend our kindy barbecue! We were so lucky with the weather and everyone enjoyed taking part in some fun, family games!
We would also like to say a massive thank you to New World Miramar who provided us with the sausages, bread, sauce and everything we needed for the sausage sizzle, and to New World Hutt City for contributing a prize to our raffle draw.
Last, but not least, the evening was a huge success thanks to lots of our kindy whanau who spent their time cooking the sausage sizzle, helping to organize the event and donating food items for the sausage sizzle and cake and ice-cream stand. We are so grateful for all the support and we were able to raise a good amount of money to go towards upgrading our kindy resources.
We look forward to more fun, whanau events in the future!

☀️ Don't forget our Family Barbecue tomorrow night! ☀️
The weather is looking good so come along with your picnic blanket and some cash! We will be selling sausages, vegetarian fried rice, cupcakes, sponge cake and ice-cream 🌭🍦🧁.
After dinner, we will enjoy some fun family games! We look forward to seeing you all there (5pm-6.45pm).

🌭🍦🧁 Family Barbecue 🌭🍦🧁

To welcome everyone to 2024, we are having a Family Barbecue Evening. This is part of our fundraising and the money raised will be going towards improving our family play corner.
We will have a sausage sizzle ($2) with some vegetarian sausages also available, ice cream and cupcakes ($2) for sale too. There will be fun games after dinner, so get ready for the excitement!

When: Friday 23rd February 2024
Time: From 5pm until 6:45pm.

Please make sure you bring your own drinks and some extra food if you have different dietary requirements.
