Urban art still cops criticism sometimes, people assuming it's about being negative or causing trouble. But that's not always the case, in fact it's the opposite.
It's about beautifying a space, adding colour, and changing the way a place feels.
But look, you've got the skills to turn a blank wall into something worth stopping for, and our Level 3 Urban Art programme is where you build them properly
Learn more and enroll before July 20th on our website at tlc.ac.nz
Spray cans, stencils, screen printing... and a qualification to match 🎨
Our brand new NZ Certificate in Art and Design (Level 3) Urban Art is the first of its kind, and it's an intense 20 week deep dive into everything urban art. Think spray paint techniques, stencil work, screen printing, posters, stickers, heck even your own merch and clothing lines.
Our Urban Art Kaiako Liam is here breaking down what ākonga can expect: real briefs, real projects, and the space to find your own way of making them happen.
If you've ever wanted to take your art from the sketchbook to the streets (properly, skillfully, with the techniques to back it up), this is where you start 👆

We are SO excited to share that TLC was named the winner of the NEC Creative Gold Category at The Post 2026 Gold Awards last night!! 🥇
The Creative Gold Category is a celebration of film, media and everything to do with creativity throughout Wellington. And wow, we knew it was tough competition when we saw some of the other nominees.
Just to give you an idea of the previous winners, think along the lines of Weta Workshop, Flight of the Conchords and The Royal New Zealand Ballet 🤯
This award reflects the passion and dedication that makes TLC such a special place to be at, both for students and staff.
We LOVE what we do, and we want everyone to discover just how life-changing a splash of creativity can be 🎨💜
