Paloma Bruce Singing Studio

Paloma Bruce Singing Studio Paloma is an internationally experienced opera singer with a passion for helping singers find freedom and confidence in their voices.

Whether you're just starting out or already performing, you're warmly welcome. Paloma is a highly experienced singing teacher from New Zealand with over 20 years of training and professional performance. She has studied with respected classical voice teachers and expanded her expertise into Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM). She is certified in Levels I–III of Somatic Voicework™ – The LoVetri Method: a science-informed, functional approach that supports healthy, expressive singing in any style. Paloma teaches singers of all levels — from absolute beginners to professionals — helping them develop ease, confidence, and artistry. Her students have:
- Performed with New Zealand Opera
- Been accepted into the Royal Northern College of Music and Massey University Jazz School
- Taught voice at the New Zealand School of Music
- Toured and recorded as international artists

She has worked with professional singers across genres including opera, music theatre, indie, and pop. Paloma specialises in vocal technique, drawing on the Swedish-Italian tradition and informed by modern voice science. She helps singers release tension, sing freely, and develop healthy, sustainable technique. As well as working with advanced singers, Paloma also supports absolute beginners — including those who feel they "can’t sing" or struggle with pitch — to discover their voices and sing with confidence. Previously, she ran the Bristol Voice Studio and the Paloma Bruce Singing Studio in London, UK. She also mentors graduates and professional singers who value her supportive and practical approach.

SCORE GIVEAWAY!

We're getting ready for our move down the road to the new Toi Poneke Arts Centre and have a huge number of NZ music scores to give away to make space in our library. Come visit us on Level 3 of Toi Pōneke, at 61 Abel Smith Street, Wellington any time between 10am and 4pm this week or next week if you're interested in picking up some of the orchestral, choral, chamber music, or solo scores in our collection.

These are all third or fourth (or more!) copies of scores we're bringing with us to our new space, and we'd love to see these extra copies go to a good home.
