❤️ A Special Assembly at Rātā Street School ❤️
Today we held a very special assembly to celebrate the arrival of a new AED (Automated External Defibrillator) at our kura.
We are incredibly proud to have received the 150th AED donated by Embracing Hearts, making this a special milestone for our school and our wider community.
A huge thank you to Emma and her family from Embracing Hearts for joining us today and for the incredible work they do to help keep communities safe. We would also like to thank Rebecca from Wellington Free Ambulance for being part of this special occasion and for supporting our kura.
Thanks to a grant from the Hutt Mana Charitable Trust, our school has received an AED along with a 24/7 accessible lockbox. The AED is WiFi capable, voice automated and can be used in an emergency for both children and adults.
Most importantly, the AED is now located at the front of our school and is available for the wider community to access if ever needed. It will also be registered with the 111 system and AED Locations, helping emergency services and our community know where it is available.
We are incredibly grateful to Embracing Hearts, Wellington Free Ambulance and the Hutt Mana Charitable Trust for making this possible.
🩷 REMINDER 🩷
This Friday we are holding our Onesie Day to raise funds for Wellington Free Ambulance. We would love your support as we help give back to the organisation that does such important work in our community!
