Our students “junior journalists “ have been meeting in the ‘news room’ each day for updates and assignments. They have interviewed people, conducted research and are now finishing off the article writing. This week they will be booking 1-1 appointments with the senior journalists and submitting their pieces. So excited to see what they produce!

We are currently doing a film study: Beauty & the Beast. It stared with a question at Philosophy: What is beauty?
We have been unpacking and debating the movie for a week. It also ties in well with out Habit of Mind focus: Metacognition - as we think about our thinking (and the thinking of others) and how that impacts others

Today we had a guest speak who is a weather forecaster. It was fascinating to see how he uses weather station data (all numbers) to create maps and predict.
