International Aerobatics Day is tomorrow. I won't get to go out flying then but i did get a good sortie in today. Currency flight as it has been months since i did any focused Aresti based aeros. Nice to get back into it, up at alt, clear of the airfield. Bring on South Island Akro Fest. 🙌

Congrats Fraser on the aeros rating. Great to get this ticked off today in some cool crisp Canterbury skies.
Fraser will be practicing Primary later this year with the goal to compete at SI Akro Fest in Nov. 🙌

It has been a heck of a busy 18 months. This video captures the essence of it. Very excited about the flying plans for the next couple of years.

In the meantime, plenty of aeros ratings, mountain flying, some competition prep and a newcomer to the LLDA training syllabus over the cooler months.

On the Calendar: I have several full days of aeros training scheduled for the month of May. 1st, 4th, 5th, 25th and 26th at Richard Pearse Airport, Timaru. All in an Alpha and Nanchang.

It was a real buzz to complete the debut of our new team, Southern Force at Warbirds Over Wanaka last weekend. Very proud of what we have achieved. Couldn't have done it without the unconditional support of our families and to our coach and mentor Jeremy Miller , thanks so much for everything.

Mark also thrilled the sold-out airshow flying his Yak 3U, Steadfast. Meanwhile i completed another busy airshow build-up as Display Planner, on our Flying Display Committee. This was Lincoln's airshow debut, congrats mate. Enormous gratitude to our incredible team behind the scenes, all the pilots, aircraft owners and engineers for their tireless hardwork. Bring on our 40th Anniversary in 2028.

Here's to the next chapter along what has been an amazing journey so far.
