Our children love the opportunity to use our wonderful environment for their imaginary/role play.
They love fishing and today they caught snapper, crayfish and other species. This play provides so many language and mathematical opportunities including fishing quota, legal sizes etc.

Caring for our animals is an important part of our everyday learning here at Country. Our tamariki are encouraged to be actively involved in caring for our animals, helping them develop a sense of responsibility, empathy, manaakitanga and kaitiakitanga.

Cleaning Mr T's shell: This hands-on experience encouraged the children to be calm and gentle as they observed his shell closely and learnt more about what he needs to stay healthy and happy.
