FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Who can attend the courses? - Those who have under taken beauty therapy at level 5 or higher, nurses, dentists and medical doctors can enroll in our courses. We also offer recognition of prior learning and industry experience to learners. Please contact us prior to enrolling in a course, if any doubt arise.
2. How long will it take to complete each course? - Some of the courses are accredited for 20 Hours CPD learning and the learner has up to 4 months to complete the courses. Additional special consideration for extension can be granted for a course where extraordinary circumstances prevent the learner from completing the course.
3. What will you learn from the courses? - The course aims to ensure you; the learner understands the basics of health & safety and anatomy & physiology of the treatment. The theory covers the treatment background, benefits, consultation and contra-indications, contra-actions, aftercare and equipment and products required to perform the treatment. This is complemented by attending a one day workshop and submitting real-life case studies.
4. Do I need to buy textbooks or any training accessories? - The onetime fee includes all training materials, including eTextbooks, apps, online content, diagrams, videos, interactive instructions, quizzes and a hands-on workshop.
5. Are courses accredited and will I receive a certificate? - Online course certificates will state online course and can be given on completion of reading, watching videos and assessing the online materials. Most of our courses offer a blended learning experience and are accredited with the CPD Centre of Excellence. Learners will get certificates and digital badges from all these courses after completing a hands-on workshop and several case studies.
6. What information is contained within an Open Badge? - Open Badges include information on the organisation or individual who issued the badge; the criteria that the badge has been assessed against, evidence, when the badge was issued, a verifiable reference to the recipient and a number of other optional properties. Some badges contain links to detailed evidence, expiry dates, tags and alignments to learning outcomes or standards.
7. How to log in to your course? - As a learner you will have received your username and password in an email of acknowledgement when you enrolled. Log in directly on the DermaLearn Moodle site at https://dermalearn.moodlecloud.com/login, enter your username, and click the "Open ID Connect" button.
8. Who can I contact for help or support? - If If you receive an error "user id not found", it can be a conflicting Microsoft account or Edge browser, try using incognito/private browsing mode or switched to a different browser e.g. Firefox. If any technical difficulties persist or questions arise, the learner may contact the customer team [email protected]. Tutors will also be regularly available online during normal office hours to assist with course related issues.
9. What is the refund policy? - The refund policy states that once a learner has logged in or gains access to the course, a refund cannot be provided for the online component of the course. If the learner has purchased a course, hasn't signed into the website yet and then decides to withdraw, they should contact us to help recoup any available fees.
