🏃‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Canterbury Primary Schools Duathlon! 🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A great day out for Carter and Pippa at the Canterbury Primary Schools Duathlon, competing against some tough competition and representing the College with plenty of determination.

Pippa raced strongly throughout and finished 16th in a very competitive field, showing great effort from start to finish.

Carter had a strong bike leg and backed it up with an excellent final run, picking up several places to finish 9th overall.

A fantastic effort from both of you, well done for representing the College so well!

We welcome you to join us at the Ellesmere College Whānau Carnival!!!
Our Student Leaders have organised a fun-filled afternoon of food, games, stalls and more.

When: Friday 23rd of October, 12pm-3pm
Where: Ellesmere College - Tennis/basketball courts + rugby field
Who: Anyone and everyone!
Cost: Initially free! To play more than your 2 free games, there will be a cost of $1 for an extra 2 play tickets, and $2-$10 for nearly everything else.

SENIOR STUDENTS:
Applications for the Selwyn Tertiary Scholarships close this Wednesday at 9pm on 9 September 2026.

This year, each scholarship is worth $2,000, with eight scholarships available (one scholarship per student). Scholarships are available for students attending secondary school in Waikirikiri Selwyn.

The application form, eligibility criteria, and further information are available on the Selwyn District Council website:

🏐🏐SISS Netball Tournament Nelson Update🏐🏐

Ellesmere College Senior A netball are currently representing the school at the SISS Netball tournament in Nelson.
It has been a tough few days for the girls with the first day being very windy.
They played hard in the first game , unfortunately lost by 5. Tuesday was another hard day at the office, playing Burnside at 10.am, a hard fought loss 31-25. Next up was Lincoln High School in the afternoon. The girls fought hard and challenged Lincoln but couldn't pull back their first 1/4 lead losing 30-22 .

We are proud of how the girls are playing and giving their all!

🕺Who: Junior Students (Years seven and eight)

🌵Date: Friday September 4th

🐎Time: 6pm-8pm

🤠Where: Ellesmere College Gym

🕺Cost: $5.00 entry per student

🤠Extras: Students can bring a little extra money for purchasing snacks (including "Tumbleweed" aka Candyfloss) and drinks on the night.
