Looking for a holiday experience that gets your child off screens, out into nature, and building confidence through meaningful experiences?
Join us for a day of wild learning, horse connection, creativity, movement, and adventure at Nature School with Horses.

🌱 Your child will enjoy:
🐴 Horse connection and groundwork activities
🌳 Nature exploration and games
🧘 Movement and mindfulness practices
🎨 Creative outdoor experiences
🤝 Building confidence, friendships, and independence
☀️ Fresh air, muddy boots, laughter, and freedom to be themselves

This programme is especially wonderful for children who love animals, thrive outdoors, need a confidence boost, or simply benefit from a calm and nurturing environment where they can be seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are.

💛 Families often tell us their children come home calmer, more confident, more connected, and glowing from a day spent in nature.

Holiday Programme Details:
📅 Wednesday 8 July & Wednesday 15 July
⏰ 9:00am – 3:00pm
📍 Kumeū, Northwest Auckland
💛 $90 per child, per day

Spaces are limited to keep the programme small and to ensure the most sensitive of our children are not overwhelmed.

🍂 Winter is on its way… 🍂
At Nature School we’re lucky to have such a magical space to stay sheltered and still play, and connect with our horses and nature.

There’s something truly wonderful about children being outdoors through the colder months.
From boosting their immunity, to giving them an outlet for all that pent-up indoor energy, to supporting their mental health with the calming influence of nature.

Our hay shed becomes a hub of imagination:
🧡 Building forts
🧡 Hiding away in secret spaces
🧡 Creating stories with family play, monster games, cops and robbers, animal adventures...

On the really wet a wild days we have lots of things on offer.... from wood whitling, to building toys and constructing, to weaving with Harakeke.
Having so much choice in how much we engage with the weather supports our children in experiencing all range of weather.
Some dance joyfully in the rain and others stay snug and creative by the fire.

If you feel your child could use a little more fresh air, creativity, and connection this season.

We run on Wednesdays 9am and 3pm during term time.
Previous horse experience is not necessary and this is a non-riding programme. We are located in Kumeu, North/West Auckland.

I am a qualified teacher and an Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner. I have taught and empowered children for over 10 years and been working with horses for over 20. It is a dream come true to be able to share what horses have taught me with children.

Meet Our Herd - Gingerbread

Gingerbread has been with us for 2 years now! When he arrived here Merlin and him played and played and played. He's really settled in as a leader of the herd.

Gingerbread brings a solid grounded presence. He challenges us to find our own presence and claim our space. He's the perfect mix to challenge us, not as quiet or small as our minis but not as large as our bigger horses.

Here at Nature School, we are ready!
We’re lucky to have such a magical space to stay sheltered and still play, and connect with our horses and nature.

From boosting their immunity, to giving them an outlet for all that pent-up indoor energy, to supporting their mental health with the calming influence of nature.

Thanks to our beautiful sheltered spaces, we've only ever had to cancel once when Cyclone Gabrielle swept through three years ago.

✨A wonderful opportunity for a few special children to join a one of a kind day programme✨

Nature School with Horses is a nature based programme for children 5 to 10 years of age.
It’s run during term time, and is a perfect mid-week break for children who find school overwhelming or challenging.

Feedback from parents is that their children love their Nature School day, they end the day feeling happy and tired.

Imagine gifting your child(ren) the opportunity to BE out in nature all day, to watch the clouds go by and dream, to create and play in the hay shed and explore through the 25acres of land. AND they're fully taken care of, supported and nurtured.

Numbers are small so children can have one on one attention and safe and secure relationships are built. Perfect if your child finds large groups over stimulating and overwhelming.

Horses are included in the play which supports children in their uniqueness. Children are fully supported in their learning through discussions, peer interactions, trial and error, positive role-modelling and trusting relationships. Included in this is risky play as an important part of holistic child development, so there are options such as climbing, physical games with others, running, exploring areas of water and the use of tools, ropes, natural materials, loose parts and fire making.

Look no further than Nature School with Horses! Children have so much fun and return to you relaxed and tired. ✨

Dates are:
Wednesday 2nd of October
and
Thursday 3rd of October
$77 per child/per day
9am to 3pm
