Lunch time at Heart and Soul is more than just filling tummies; it's a time to fuel our wairua and ensure our tamariki feel seen, heard and celebrated, deepening their sense of well-being as a whole, and allowing for beautiful, magical, fantastical, wonderful, transcendent play. Which is the highest form of learning.
Koru room (0-2yrs) lunch time rituals support communication development, turn taking, and independence.
Kowhai room (2-3.5yrs) lunch time rituals support independence, self-care, communication, helping others, decision making, fine motor skills, listening and following instructions.
Kauri room (3.5-5yrs) lunch time rituals support leadership, self confidence, independence, social skills, and self care.
