Well here we are ready to begin a New Year.
Learning to play piano or keyboard is very satisfying and uses many different skills.
Reading, maths, memory, listening and self discipline. It's also a pleasure and can be used to make a child or adult to feel better.🎵🎶🎹

It was a different world under lockdown wasn't it. I know some of my pupils played a lot of piano and others none at all.
Started lessons again on 2nd June which was great. A few new pupils started which is a good start to the rest of the year.🎶🎹

How's the lockdown been for all the musicians? Hope you've been practicing!
It's looking like I will be able to start lessons again in the not so distant future. That will be so good.🎹🎶

It's been a shock to all NZ!
It's so different being confined to home.
Aren't we lucky to have the technology to be able to keep in touch with friends and family.
Children are also able to keep up some school lessons on line as well.
If your child has been learning an instrument try to encourage them to continue their practice. Not only does it require some concentration but also is good for the soul.

Goodness the holidays are going quickly. Not long to the start of the new year and first term.

I've really enjoyed the tuition with all the music pupils in 2018.🎶🎹
St Joseph's at Te kuiti is going great as are the pupils at my home studio.🎵
The year is rapidly coming to an end so planning for next year is underway.
If you are thinking of piano or keyboard lessons for 2019, now's the time to ask the questions and book a space!🎼

Wow!

Auckland Libraries has the only known copy of 'The harpsichord master', an early form of music tutor book for "learners on the spinnet or harpsichord" dating from 1697.
