K1 Teacher Kerikeri Kindergarten

Are you seeking opportunity to work amongst a forward thinking, dynamic, award-winning kindergarten team? Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking a dedicated and visionary teacher to join Kerikeri Kindergarten from January 8th 2025.

Kerikeri Kindergarten operates as an All-Year Model. Staff benefit from 30 days Annual Leave and 15 Professional Time days per year along with 10 non-contact hours per week. NKA offer excellent professional development budgets and staff have opportunity to apply for annual scholarships and wellness initiatives.
Kerikeri Kindergarten will have a team of 5 teachers and part time Administrator. The kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday, catering for a roll of 40 children between two and six years of age.

Kerikeri Kindergarten teams practice is grounded in the knowledge that children are capable, competent, and powerful, and arrive at kindergarten with inherent mana and mauri. Kerikeri Kindergarten are Enviroschools leaders in the Early Years network and run a weekly Ngahere Programme.

If your manner is friendly and inviting, your communication is both open and respectful, you have a passion for working with children, whānau and local community, you have established methods for sustainable teaching practices and you actively engage in practices that respect and uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi, we would be very interested in connecting with you.

Kerikeri Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the NKA. The kindergarten is supported by a professional practice and management team. Northland Kindergarten Association adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teacher, Head Teachers and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2023-2026.

Applicants must hold a recognised New Zealand ECE qualification (minimum Dip Teaching ECE), current practicing certificate and first aid certificate. Closing date for applications & referees reports: 2pm Tuesday November 5th 2024.

📰 Kerikeri Kindergarten achieves Enviroschools Green-Gold status
Kerikeri Kindergarten has become the latest Northland Enviroschool to reach the programme’s coveted Green-Gold status.
The Northland Regional Council introduced the popular programme to Northland in 2004 and there are now more than 140 schools, kindergartens and early childhood centres in the programme region-wide.
