Gumboot Friday is this week we are asking our families to bring their children in gumboots to support 'I AM HOPE'
KPLC will be donating to this organization to support counselling for kids in NZ.

Why gumboots?
For people struggling with depression, it can feel like walking through mud every day.

So we're asking you on Gumboot Friday, to show your support. Put your gumboots on, and take a walk in their shoes for just one day.

It's a fun way for our children to join in while raising money for a great cause.

Kia ora whanau,
Ministry of education and Ministry of Health have changed regulations about what can be sent to preschool in your child's lunchbox.
There are new requirements on foods that will now BE EXCLUDED from being allowed at the centre, there is list of these foods in the booklet that will be in your child's pockets by the end of this week.
As well as a list of foods to be excluded is a chart of (HOW TO ALTER HIGH RISK FOOD TO LOWER ITS CHOKING RISK ). Staff will be adhering to these changes as part of our licencing criteria, and therefore we have to promote these changes.
We are sorry for the late notification of these changes which come into effect on the 25th January 2021.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES PLEASE ADRESS THESE TO THE FOUR TEAM LEADERS , OR MANAGER ONLY.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we all get used to the new changes.
We are awaiting further information on these changes from the Ministry of Education and will keep you informed.
