Kawakawa Bay Kindergarten Kawakawa Bay Kindergarten is centrally located in the rural seaside community of Kawakawa Bay. We h We also have a pet rabbit, birds and fish.

We have great facilities and a wonderful play area for the children. Our team consists of two teachers, a teacher aide and an office administrator, we are also lucky enough to have some wonderful volunteers and the full support of our community. One of our most recent projects was to create a Cultural Art Garden. This is just one of the many areas that enables us to allow the children to learn in

a warm and welcoming environment. Our new Interactive TV has just been installed and provides a new perspective on the IT learning within the centre. We welcome visitors to the kindergarten, please feel free to drop by and meet us all.

How lucky were we on our Nature Discovery Walk today!

We watched with anticipation as a helicopter landed nearby. Then, to our surprise the very kind pilot invited us over for a closer look. What a fantastic and unexpected experience for our tamariki!

We were definitely in the right place at the right time. Experiences like this are exactly why we love taking our four-year-olds out into our local community, we head out on an adventure about once a fortnight, exploring our beautiful beach.

There is so much for our tamariki to discover right here on our doorstep. These outings provide such valuable opportunities for children to explore, ask questions, build confidence and being part of our community.

Our tamariki are absolutely loving the 3D printer that a family has kindly brought in for the whole week. They have enjoyed watching it make dolphins are also proudly love to show the printer to their whānau.
The anticipation is building as they eagerly await to receive a dolphins.

A huge thank you to the McLean Whānau for sharing this amazing experience with our tamariki. Your generosity, time, and willingness to provide this unique learning opportunity are greatly appreciated.

We offer 20 free hours for 2-year-olds and 30 free hours for 3- and 4-year-olds (conditions apply).
