We have some really exciting news to share. This is something that has been months in the making and we're giddy with excitement about it! Kaukapakapa Preschool is changing, and we want you to be part of this historic change.

We have an open day on Monday 18 March 2024 from 3:30-5:30pm for all current and former staff, parents and children of Kaukapakapa Preschool, and anyone else from the Kaukapakapa community to come and be part of this momentous occasion.

Please don't be late! The announcement will be at 4pm.

We are so lucky to be able to support our whanau next door at swimming sports. We have been cheering our siblings on. We wish everyone good luck at Swimming Sports next door and hope the kids win the staff vs students competion 🤭

We are in full spring-mode which means lost jumpers and trousers every day!
Please have a look and see if any of these are yours. We will be getting rid of the unwanted items. There is also a basket full of socks. Please take any that look remotely like yours, as they probably are

Lots of smiling faces for today’s celebration!
We celebrated one year under new ownership today, Kim shared a lovely cake and we sung happy birthday to the preschool. Thank you to our amazing community for all the support over this last year, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for us!

Last week the tamariki really enjoyed engaging with science through colour mixing. In this activity the tamariki used their fine motor skills as they gripped the dropper, and coordination and concentration as they transferred the coloured water into the trays.

Tamariki are then able to experiment with mixing as the colours mix to create new shades. Oral
Literacy is extended as we discussed what was happening and social skills enhanced as tamariki negotiate turns.

Kia Ora,
We are looking for a qualified and registered kaiako to join our team. We are offering between 20-35 hours with some flexibility.

We are a little rural centre with 33 tamariki, and enjopy the benefits of a large natural outside play space.
With a small close knit community, you will need to have great relationship skills.

We offer discounted childcare and paid birthday day off. We believe in provind flexibilty where possible to our staff to support the importance of Whanau.
