Another awesome days experience for our OED100 students. Those who braved the cold got to experience some true caving experiences that not many have the opportunity to do in the Karamu caves.

Video to come but great to see these students face fears, challenges and obstacles (literally) that pushed them to their limits. So fun learning more about yourself in the tight and uncomfortable situations!

Survival camp has been epic so far. Missed the worst of the weather and with the limited resources the OED200 team has made fire and eaten their piece of meat and can of beans over it. They haven’t been allowed to bring pegs for their bivvys or any of their normal camping luxuries. So many skills to learn.

More navigation tomorrow before heading out of this unreal secret spot in the Kaimai-Mamaku Forest.

REMINDER: to my OED200 class that our postponed survival camp is tomorrow. Weather is looking really good. Make sure you’re ready to go and meet in F8 after Ako Tahi class. We will do our checks and load from there.
