We’re open from 9am every Friday of the school term, located at Kaihere Hall.

We are a parent organised playgroup, who love to catch up and give our children new and exciting learning and playing experiences alongside us, and one another.

A chilly morning to start with, but the heaters soon fixed that up ! Today we had farm play, blocks, indoor slides and ride-on toys, and musical instruments - they were a hit, with most kids getting involved on the stage. We went to the school for morning tea , and with the school on a trip, we had the whole playground to ourselves, however the big kids were missed by the playgroup kids - they always have a great time playing alongside one another.

Full on Friday ! Our kids had a great time letting loose on ride on gear and we attempted to do some crafts (but the kids were just buzzing off the ride ons). They iced and decorated their own cupcakes for morning tea, and we all went over to the school to have a play with the big kids in the sandpit . See you next week !

Another great Friday at Kaihere Playgroup ! Our kids enjoyed some more tactile play on the muscle mat today, with ride on’s zooming around them. Clint and Aster brought along some yummy feijoa scrolls for morning tea. Hope everyone had a great start to May - see you next week

Welcome to the first post for our newly re-established Playgroup!

We had a great time this morning , even though it was a little chilly to begin with - we had an obstacle course set up, farm, art and a house and pretend play.
Some kids had a poppy painted on their faces, and then we enjoyed some Anzac biscuits with some lime juice some of the other kids had made. We spent playtime over at the school
With the big kids and finished off the session with “Kaihere’s got talent” ! See you next Friday

So far we have had a very relaxed start to our 1st term. We are enjoying some outside play when the weather isn't too hot.
New families are always welcome.

Term 1 2023 and we are already halfway through!
Here are a few pictures from the last couple of seasons. We have only been opening on a Friday now but would love to meet some new families and make some more friends.

Here we are in term 4 and sunny days!
The playground has been re-barked and is looking super. Kaihere school was given a mud kitchen from Earth Prep Limited along with some new sandpit toys and lucky for our playgroup children we get to have fun with these things as well. So we really appreciate this kind gesture from a local business. If you want to pop down, have a coffee and let your little people play we would love to see you, we are open on a Tuesday and Friday from 9am onwards.

A few pics from today.
We had a busy morning with lots of different creative play happening. There were kittens in the sandpit as well as truck drivers, plus potion making that started with bubbly water and glitter then ended with bark, sand and flowers.
We had a few new friends join us as well. So neat to see our playgroup growing and all the happy little people enjoying our wonderful space at Kaihere School.
