A Legend has fallen 😔

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ronald D. Davis, founder of the Davis Method and creator of the programs that have changed how the world understands dyslexia, autism, and neurodivergent learning.

Ron grew up in a world he experienced as chaotic and painful. He didn't speak until he was 17. He couldn't read until his late 30s. And when he finally found his own way through it, he spent the rest of his life building a path for others to follow.

Ron believed that what he had created was not his to keep. It belonged to every facilitator who carried it forward, and every person whose life it changed. As he put it: "It cannot be unowned. If it's unowned, it will disappear." He entrusted that work to all of us, and the worldwide Davis community will continue to carry it forward.

Thank you, Ron, for everything you gave the world; for the millions of people who now see their own minds differently because of you; for seeing ability and possibility where others saw only limitations.

A documentary with a powerful message. So many people say “Yes! That all makes sense now!”

𝗬𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄

Almost 450 parents, caregivers and educators sat down for 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗞𝗡𝗘𝗪: 𝗗𝘆𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 earlier this year, many of them not sure what to expect.

What they found was a film that finally made sense of years of frustration, for their child and often for themselves too.

WHO KNEW is back for two more free online screenings this September.

This screening includes the film, with a short introduction to Davis Dyslexia solutions, including the Davis Parent Power - Dyslexia course, and a Q&A session to follow.

Meet Nikki Palamountain: Our Davis Facilitator based in Napier, New Zealand 🇳🇿

Nikki brings over 30 years of experience in education, supporting bright and capable learners who struggle with read, writing, maths and attention in traditional settings.

After she saw how many neurodiverse learners needed a different approach, Nikki trained as a Davis Facilitator and created Dyslexia Unpuzzled to help children, teens, adults and families understand how their brains learn.

She also has a YouTube channel where she publishes insightful podcasts, interviews and videos drawing on hers and others' experiences with neurodivergent minds.
