Wow what a way to end term 2!

Yesterday we had the privilege of celebrating Matariki alongside our friends at New River Primary. This was history in the making with the first ever New River and KPI community hāngi. We would like to give a huge mihi to our New River whānau for including us.

There was a huge amount of work go in to pulling this off, thank you Miss Jordan for taking the lead to ensure everything came together we appreciate all your hard work, to the whānau that gave up a days mahi to be present in helping out, especially the hāngi pit team that were there from start to finish, to everyone that contributed from the sharing of knowledge, donations, packing baskets, peeling veggies, clean up, lending of sacks, baskets, irons the list goes on. None of it would have been possible without the the amazing people that pulled through to awhi.

So good to see so many whānau come together, to see the whanaungatanga, manaakitanga and aroha from the beginning to the end was really special for us to be part of.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa. We are already looking forward to the next one 😊
