The playground is one of our favourite learning spaces.

Outside, tamariki have room to climb, balance, run, explore, and test their confidence. These everyday movements support strength, coordination, independence, and problem-solving, all while children are having fun and making their own discoveries.

Play is one of the first places children learn how to work with others.

Through shared activities, tamariki practise taking turns, waiting, communicating, helping, and solving little challenges together. These moments build important social skills in a way that feels natural and meaningful.

At Wee Nippers, teamwork grows through everyday play.

A calm moment in the middle of a busy day.

Play does not always have to be loud or fast. Sometimes it looks like resting, gently swinging, watching what’s happening, or simply enjoying a quiet moment outside. These moments help children feel settled, safe, and connected to their environment.

Kind words like this mean so much to our team.

We know choosing an early learning centre is a big decision, so it means a lot when families feel welcomed, supported, and confident in the care their child receives. At Wee Nippers, we take the time to build strong relationships with both children and whānau.

Food is an important part of every day at Wee Nippers.

Nourishing meals and snacks help tamariki stay energised, settled, and ready for a full day of play, learning, and discovery. Mealtimes also support independence, routine, social connection, and positive habits around food.

Choosing an early learning centre is a big decision.

At Wee Nippers, we want families to feel welcomed, informed, and confident from the very beginning. Our centre is a place where tamariki can play, explore, build relationships, try new things, and grow in their own time.

If you’re thinking about early learning for your child, we’d love to show you around.

Today we are celebrating a very special milestone for one of our Wee Nippers whānau. 💙

A huge congratulations to Michelle and her beautiful family on being granted New Zealand residency!

Since joining the Wee Nippers team in February 2024, Michelle has shared her kindness, dedication, and passion with our tamariki every single day. Behind the scenes, this journey has taken an incredible amount of hard work, patience, determination, and more than a few tears. Today, all of that has paid off.

We couldn't be prouder of Michelle and are so excited for her, her husband, and their three gorgeous girls as they begin this exciting new chapter together.

Congratulations, Michelle! Thank you for choosing to make New Zealand—and Wee Nippers—your home. We are so lucky to have you as part of our Wee Nippers whānau, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for you and your family. ❤️🇳🇿

Sandpit play is full of learning.

As children dig, scoop, pour, build, and create, they’re developing fine motor skills, coordination, problem-solving, and imagination.

It’s also a great space for social learning, where tamariki practise sharing tools, communicating ideas, and working alongside others.
At Wee Nippers, everyday play is always helping children grow.
