The 2026 ILT Sing Out Festival is celebrating 80 years of Sing Out with three fantastic nights of music at the Civic Theatre!

This year’s theme is PARTY LIKE IT’S THE 80s! Local school choirs will take to the stage to celebrate the iconic music of the 1980s.

What is Sense Rugby?

Sense Rugby is an inclusive, non-contact rugby programme that has been specifically designed to support children of all abilities to participate in sport and physical activity. Sessions focus on fun, movement, connection and skill development in a safe and supportive environment.

Many children I work with find traditional sports settings overwhelming or challenging. Sense Rugby provides an opportunity to participate in a way that celebrates each child's strengths and supports them to succeed.

Children may benefit through:
⭐ Building confidence and self-esteem
⭐ Developing coordination and gross motor skills
⭐ Practising social skills and teamwork
⭐ Improving emotional regulation and resilience
⭐ Learning routines, turn-taking and problem-solving
⭐ Having fun while being active

The programme can be particularly beneficial for neurodivergent children and those with additional support needs, however all children are welcome!

💰 Completely FREE thanks to funding from the NZ Rugby Legacy Fund

A very special day indeed and the first of many more!

Not many kids get to be dropped off for their first day at school by two paramedics!! But alas the nature of shift work! Mum finishing dad starting.. hope you had the best first day my boy!
