Marsha's Homebased daycare I am a Homebased Educator based in Invercargill. I offer care for children from 0-5 years of age

Hello my name is Marsha; I am a Homebased educator, I work for Barnados Early Learning and I have a current first aid certificate. I am married with two high school aged boys and a primary school aged boy as well

I enjoy working with children in the home-based setting. I support them to grow and learn from the opportunities within the home and the wider world around them. I provide a fun filled

nurturing programme that enhances their individual culture, interests, needs and stages of development. I like to provide opportunities for children to develop their independence, communication, exploration and confidence skills. Children form great relationships with each other and myself by learning alongside and with each other. As a parent I believe children learn best from their world around them. We explore the local community and community based activities on a regular basis (library, walks, parks, preschool gym & mainly music.) I work closely with my Visiting Teacher to ensure each child learns and develops through fun and active learning experiences. With low ratios 4 children at any time I can have sustained interactions with the children in my care.
