75 HARD AND FOOD
I've been blown away with the messages I've been receiving about 75 Hard. People who have done it, who want to do it, who have just started it, who don't want to do it but just sending a f**k yea go you sort of a message.
I get quite a few questions about food and what "diet" I'm following. Diets dont exist in my vocab and I'm not planning out my meals 😱 but instead I'm paying attention to what I eat AND how I eat.
Here's a brief run down:
1. I aim to eat predominantly green face. Green = fruit and veges, nuts, seeds etc. Face = had a face (meat) or came from something with a face (dairy products, eggs etc)
2. I still eat carbs 🤯 I eat bread. There's not actually a lot that I'm not allowing myself to eat. Nothing is unhealthy by itself.....it's looking at the combination of foods that we predominantly are eating that can make a meal healthier or unhealthier.
3. I'm not counting calories but I'm being mindful of my portion sizes.
4. I'm not fasting but I aim to eat dinner no later than 6pm and breakfast is usually 8-8.30pm
5. I'm eating my meals and only eating my meals. No eating while working. No eating while distracted. Actually just sitting down and enjoying whats in front of me.
6. I've always been a fast eater and I am trying to slllllllooooooow down and not inhale my meal. This is definitely a hard one for me cos this bitch loves her food.
7. Forward planning meals based on the fresh produce available in our garden or coming available in our garden.
8. I'm still having fish n chips! The 75 Hard rules say no cheat meals but each Friday I'm comfortable with a chicken burger (plenty of protein, fresh salad etc) and a small handful of chips on a plate so that way I avoid overeating. In my books no cheat meals means not popping to McDonalds cos I can't be arsed cooking.
9. No coke, no fizz, no alcohol. Trying to drink a gallon of water is hard enough without adding more liquid into my day 🤣 and on a hot day if I've had the whole gallon I'll have a sparkling water.
10. Afternoon tea is something of my choice. Usually 1 piece of baking ✌️ continued in comments.....
