RELIEVER:

Have you ever worked in a community based childcare centre? Every penny we make goes directly back into the heart of our centre, our tamariki, our kaiako.

We are Inglewood Community Childcare and we are looking for an untrained reliever, someone who can, at the drop of a hat, or rostered on, come in and help us to care and educate our precious tamariki.

Our Kaiako anchor our centre and are our roots for inspiration, growth and guidence. We offer an incredible environment and recognise the importance of whanau/ family first.

If this job sounds like you, please send your cover letter and CV to: [email protected]
We look forward to hearing from you ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹

Kia Ora whanau, in the Rata room we have been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to watch some tadpoles turn into frogs.

The tamariki have absolutely loved it, rushing in each day to see how they are and to see what changes may have happened. Renee has really done her research and they have truly become her babies and are loved by us all.

Now that our tadpoles have turned into froglets their diet has changed so now we have a mealworm farm to raise mealworms to feed our froglets.
This has been such a great learning experience for not just our tamariki but for us too. We are learning how to care for animals, learning their life cycles and learning about the natural world.

A big thank you to the Hart family for donating the tadpoles and to Renee for adopting the new babies.

Kia ora e te whฤnau,

As we welcome the new year, we wanted to take a moment to share some exciting updates and express our gratitude for your continued support. We would also like to take this time to welcome back our beautiful Katelyn Stewart who for the past year has been on maternity leave with baby Keller.

Our teachers are truly the heart and soul of our whare. They are passionate, caring, and dedicated to providing the best possible learning environment for your children. Their commitment to working together with parents and our community ensures that our centre remains a nurturing and enriching place for all.

On January 6th, we held a Teachers Only Day, which was a fantastic opportunity for our team to come together and prepare for the year ahead. We started the day by gathering flowers from our gardens and creating beautiful arrangements to welcome back our whanau and tamariki. Our rooms were meticulously arranged to create a warm and inviting environment for all involved.

We went on to review our centre rituals, both indoor and outdoor, to ensure consistency and alignment among our staff. The day was filled with fun activities, including a scavenger hunt where we made stick people, waded in water and found stones to make Mandellaโ€™s, fostering a sense of belonging, teamwork and creativity.

In addition, we worked on our 2025-2031 strategic plan, incorporating our centre values and envisioning the future of our centre. We will be sharing the revised plan with you soon and welcome your feedback to help us refine it further.

We also took the time to review the Early Childhood regulations from criteria 1-13 ensuring that all staff members are on the same page regarding our responsibilities and standards, so we can uphold our highly regarded reputation and be the best place for you and your tamariki to learn and grow. It was a wonderful day of learning and collaboration, leaving everyone feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready for another year of growth and discovery.

Our centre is not just a place for children to learn, but also a community where teachers and parents can grow together. We are excited about the year ahead and look forward to continuing this journey with you. We have so many exciting plans ahead and cant wait to share them with you.
Thank you for being a part of our community and for entrusting us with the care and education of your children.

Warm regards
Linda and the team.

On behalf of everyone at Inglewood Community Childcare Centre, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the generous grant we received from the Mallowpuff Trust. Thanks to their support, we have been able to acquire beautiful sensory equipment for our centre, including weighted blankets, a bubble tube, body sock, and so much more.

The impact of this equipment on our tamariki has been truly remarkable. The weighted blankets provide a sense of security and calm, helping our tamariki to relax and focus. The bubble tube has become a favorite, captivating their attention and stimulating their senses in a way that promotes both enjoyment and learning. The body sock and other sensory items have also contributed significantly to creating a more comfortable and engaging environment for our tamariki

The sensory equipment has not only enhanced their learning experiences but also brought immense joy and comfort to their daily routines.
Your generosity has made a profound difference in the lives of the children in our whare, and we are deeply grateful for your support. Thank you once again for your kindness and for believing in our mission.

Kia ora whanau,

On Tuesday the 19th of November (tomorrow) our car park will be closed to whanau for health and safety as we are having the trees cut down next to the centre so you will not be able to leave the usual way. We are getting staff to park in the car parks around the building so there will be more parks on the street for you all. The gate will be closed off.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
