We’re excited to be part of the Hunterville Home & School Association Comedy Night fundraiser on Friday, 5 September!

We’ll be serving up:

• Beef Nachos - $15
• Assortment of Slices - $10
• Nachos + Slices Combo - ONLY $20

Everything will be available to purchase throughout the evening from 6.30pm, so there’s no need to preorder. Just come hungry!

The funds we raise will help us cover our annual budget shortfall and contribute towards our operational costs. Every nacho, slice and combo purchased will help support the ongoing running of our centre.

Massive shout out to Gilmours Central PN, Mexicano NZ, Honest Wolf and New World Marton for helping make our fundraiser possible. We are endlessly grateful for your support!

We’ll be closed tomorrow, Wednesday the 1st of July but will be back on Friday the 3rd for the last day of term 2.

We’ll then be closed for the school holidays and will reopen Wednesday the 22nd of July for term 3.

What a fun-filled term it’s been!

So much learning, exploring, and messy play- all topped off with a special visit from the Easter Bunny to end the term 🐰

We’re now closed for the holidays, but we can’t wait to be back for more fun in Term 2!

Our centre will be closed tomorrow as we’ll be heading out on an excursion just down the road to visit the beautiful sunflower field at MOOMAA Cafe and Design Store 🌻

We will also be closed this Friday for Waitangi Day.

We can’t wait to share photos from our adventure and look forward to being back at our wonderful centre next week.

We are looking for a Session Facilitator for our wonderful Playcentre! This is a permanent part-time position of 8.5 hours per week on a Wednesday and Friday morning.

Have a child under 6 years old? You can even bring them with you!

🎉 We’re back for 2026!

We were so excited to take part in the 2025 Hunterville Christmas Eve Parade with a Playcentre float this year.

Our playhouse was transformed into a festive gingerbread house, decorated with lollies and candy canes. Dressed as elves, the tamariki sat patiently on the float, waving and smiling to the crowd and proudly representing our Playcentre. It was wonderful to see their confidence, patience and enjoyment as they shared this special community experience together. They did so well in the very hot sun!

The float looked amazing and we were awarded third in the parade for our efforts.

Thank you to the Hunterville Lions for our prize and yet another wonderfully organised community event.

Today marked the end of Book Week at Hunterville School, and we were delighted to be invited to their Book Week assembly. To celebrate, all the school kids dressed up as their favourite book characters and we joined in the fun too. Our brave tamariki stood confidently in front of the whole school to share their names and the characters they were dressed as. Hunterville School kindly gifted each tamaiti a lollipop, along with a wonderful selection of pukapuka for our centre. Ngā mihi nui, we are so grateful to be included and to continue strengthening our connection with the school that many of our tamariki will one day attend.
