Too often parents worry about their child’s behavior. They focus on all the problems they see. “My child doesn’t sleep, she hits, bites, runs away and doesn’t listen. My child doesn’t eat broccoli and doesn’t make his bed! What can I do about this?” You will find many blogs and information on the web about what you can do to help your child.
Let’s take a step back and ask ourselves are we focusing too much on the negativity? Of course those topics are on our mind but not everything in life or about our child can be controlled and changed right?
Instead look on the positive aspects of our child. Don‘t get hung up on their behavior...
See WHO they are as a person.
Because their personality is ultimately the most important part about them! ✨
The child’s caregiver, you the parent will form your child through your behavior, communication, language, reaction, emotions and parenting.
Everyone has phases they go through, everyone has bad days, everyone makes mistakes, everyone misbehaves, including your child. But non of that changes their heart, who they really are.
When our children act out or make us angry, remember that their behavior doesn’t define who they are. When we act out or have a bad day we still want to be treated with compassion. It is unfair for us to treat or to react without the same compassion and respect that we expect from others.
❔What to do you think? How would you use a positive view in your everyday life?
