Free Event - Pottery for blokes and a feed. Greymouth, Sunday 20 September.
Ever fancied having a go on the clay? Here's your chance.
Potter Sam Duckor-Jones is taking a group of us through making our own piece at the Left Bank Art Gallery on Tainui Street. No experience needed, nothing to bring but yourself, and all the materials are sorted.
Then a few weeks later we get back together for a pit firing. That's the old way of doing it: the work goes into the ground overnight with a fire on top and comes out the next morning. You take yours home from that one.
There'll be a proper feed put on, plus snacks, tea and coffee. No booze, no cost.
