Are New Zealanders getting ripped off and giving minerals away at knock-down prices? Is a royalty rate of 2% of the value of the resource or 10% of the accounting profit of taking it from the ground too low? Given successive governments have been fairly consistent at either leaving the royalty rates as they are or increasing them, the answer's probably no and no. I've come to accept people prefer short videos to long ones, but if there's anything you think I've intentionally or inadvertently left out, I look forward to hearing about it in the comments. Amene.
