Wow… where did those two weeks go? 🌈

Just like that, our July Holiday Programme has come to an end, and it's time for everyone to head back to school!

Some of our holiday crew will be joining us each afternoon at KidsCare After School Care, while others we'll look forward to seeing again in the September holidays.
What an amazing two weeks we've had!

Even with yd your child's place – spaces fill quickly and we'd hate for your family to miss out!

It's time to get back into the school routine this week! 📚

Some children will have homework, while others won't, but here at KidsCare we'll be getting back into our regular after-school habits and routines. We'll be encouraging homework time where needed, along with the usual activities that help everyone settle in after a busy day at school.

We'll also be introducing a few extra challenges and fun learning opportunities for those who are ready and keen to give them a go. We can't wait to see everyone back and ready for another great term!

Our trip to West Coast Treetop Walk, Cafe & Tower Zipline ... WOW! 🌳💚

Parents, you should all be incredibly proud of your children.

Today they showed so much kindness, care, and support for one another. It was absolutely wonderful to see and hear them encouraging each other throughout the day.

We had some very brave kids (and even a few brave adults! 😊) who faced their fears and completed the whole walkway, with some even climbing the tower. What an achievement! We are so proud of every single one of them.

After our adventure, we headed back to KidsCare for lunch and spent the afternoon working on some unfinished arts and crafts. We didn't quite get everything finished, but we'll keep creating!

As our two-week holiday programme comes to an end, the kids have already filled me with fantastic ideas for the next holidays—which are only 8 short weeks away

Well, the weather was a bit on and off again today, so we didn't get to walk to the museum as planned. We still made it there though and had a great time checking the place out.

It had been a while since I'd last been there, and it seemed so much smaller than I remembered! The kids absolutely loved it. We didn't take things slowly enough to see and read everything, but they enjoyed themselves all the same.

When we asked the kids what their favourite part was, most of them said the Pounamu display.

A huge thank you to the Hokitika Museum team—especially Vaughan and Jesse—for welcoming us, showing us around, and taking the time to explain the stories behind some of the exhibits. We really appreciated your time and hospitality!
