Ako recognises the knowledge that everyone holds. It acknowledges the way that new knowledge and understandings grow out of shared learning experiences. Together we experience special moments of care as we flow throughout our day. Kaitiakitanga
Together we enjoy natures wonder with our outdoor environment and our animals provide real life learning experiences teaching us to be guardians of our world. Following natural growing cycles and practicing sustainability allows us to contribute to caring for our turangawaewae.

Kids Barn is developed around natural resources, trees, grass, lots of space and a “back to basics” approach. We have developed vegetable gardens and an orchard from which our children are encouraged to grow and harvest produce. This produce is then incorporated into a healthy eating plan that will provide our children with nutritious meals. We incorporate Te Whare Tapa Wha into all the we do. Focusing on a holistic education approach to ensure success for all learners. Most of all we want our children to have fun in a safe and caring environment.

A safe, welcoming place where children can play, create, explore and belong before school, after school and during the holidays.
