🏀🏑🏉WINTER SPORT⚽️🏑🏐

What a cool way to wrap up most of our winter sports with a some great wins, skills, determination, new friendships and growth across today’s tournament and final basketball game. That’s what sport is all about😊

BIG mihi to Tama (rugby), Cassidy (netball), Preston (football) & Ketana (hockey) who were chosen for most valuable and fairest for their tournament teams. Ka rawe kids!!!💖

Thank you to all our awesome coaches, staff and supporters for all your commitment and bringing the positive vibes today and throughout the season so that our kids feel happy and confident to give it a go and keep playing in the future.

Extra special shoutout to our fantastic sports co-ordinator Rochelle who is signing off at the end of the term, she has done an amazing job and put in tonnes of time and effort over the years.
We will miss her heaps and will have some big boots to fill😅

Thank you to the host schools St Joseph’s Hāwera (who were also our awesome rugby team mates, thanks coach PJ!!!! ) & Matapu for organising another wonderful tournament day.

PUANGANUI O TE RANGI – TE ARA O KAHA

We invite our school whānau to attend our Puanga celebration on Thursday 2nd July.

A tradition to honour the past, celebrate the present, and inspire the future.

We would love to share our learning about this special time of year with you

Before the day:
We will be creating art & craft pieces linked to Puanga and the different Matariki stars

During the day:
Creating kai to share in the evening, crafts in class, traditional Māori games. Whānau are most welcome to come and help us prepare for the evening and participate in the traditional games & crafts- please let your child's teach know beforehand.

Evening event: 5.15-6.45pm
Opening ceremony, art & craft exhibition, braziers- smores, shared kai, waiata

We would look forward to coming together as a school community - hoping to see you all there!

🚨‼️TEACHER AIDE VACANCY🚨‼️

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic learning assistant to work 25 hours per week (negotiable) term time only. Immediate start.

The position would be a combination of in class supporting the learning programmes and working with students who have additional learning or physical needs. Details to be confirmed upon appointment.

We are seeking applicants who are:
*friendly, caring, energetic with a patient and calm manner
*excellent communicators who relate well to a range of backgrounds
*practical, adaptable problem-solvers who are able to work independently, eager to grow and
learn on the job
