I get to know more about them than probably most of their family and friends and then I get the honour of turning their stories into words and holding space for them on their wedding day where those words are delivered and heard by those they love.

Dear Lovers,

Let me tell you about relationships.

It is about two, coming together as separate pieces and joining all parts, to make a whole.

It is about late night talking, back stroking.

Being there whether you think you are needed or not.

It is about always expecting the unexpected and no expectations of yourself or the other.

It is about laughter and bitterness but mostly about hope.

It is about recognising the worst in yourself in order to see the best in the other, because neither of you are perfect.

It is about dreams and reality and how both of these merge at some point but no one actually knows where that is.

It is about understanding that you will never truly understand how this other life will effect yours.

One week ago today, I had the privilege of bringing you both together in marriage and you were an absolute dream to marry! You are both highly organised people and knew exactly what you wanted and you pulled it off so well. The love and excitement that surrounded you both as you stood in front of your friends and family was proof of the loyal, dedicated and down to earth people that you both are.

I am made from all the people I’ve encountered and all the things I have experienced.
Inside, I hold the laughter of my friends, the arguments with my parents, the chattering of young children, and the warmth from kind strangers.
Inside, there are stitchings from cracked hearts, bitter words from heated arguments, music that gets me through, and emotions I cannot convey.
I am made from all these people and moments.

That is who I am.

Becoming a Celebrant ✨

​​I actually fell across becoming a celebrant…but it wasn’t something that I took lightly.
​​
​​It had crossed my mind over the past 5 years how I would really like to focus my work and as many aspects of my life on ‘the people’. I had this desire to bring people together and to facilitate and hold space for people within my family, friends groups, community but mostly I just wanted to provide a space for people within my heart. Our hearts have an endless amount of space and we are not restricted to a specific amount of love and care for others that we are able to give and how much we can hold within there.

​​There are many ways I could have seen out my vision but I have chosen to spend my time in service to others through being your celebrant through life and death 🤍

I was priviliaged to be able to marry my amazing friends on Saturday. It was the best experience working through and planning out their personalized ceremony and their day was a show stopper, just like them!
